GOT QUESTIONS? WE HAVE ANSWERS!
  • How much is registration?
    General registration begins at $150. The registration fee for Literacy & Justice for All Symposium includes registration materials, continental breakfast, lunch on Saturday and a reception plus fireside chat on Friday. You will also have access to all sessions and exhibitors.
  • Do you offer a group registration discount?
    At this moment we are not offering a group discount but do have scholarships and other resources to support educators in attending the symposium. Visit our Educators page for more information.
  • Is there special pricing for Oakland Literacy Coalition members?
    OLC members will receive special discount pricing available when general registration opens. OLC members will receive 50% off 2 registration tickets.
  • Do you offer any scholarships?
    We will be offering a limited number of scholarships to attend Literacy and Justice for All 2024. Scholarship applications are currently open. Click here to apply.
  • Will you accept a purchase order?
    For online registration, credit cards are accepted. We do not offer purchase orders, but we can provide an invoice for payment. Requests for invoices will be accepted through February 9, 2024. Please email us at symposium@oaklandliteracycoalition.org with the subject line, LJ4ALL Invoice.
  • Where is Literacy & Justice for All 2024 being held?
    Literacy & Justice for All 2024 is being held at the Oakland Marriott City Center located at 1001 Broadway in Oakland, California.
  • Which hotels are available for overnight stays?
    All rates are current as of November 2023 and are subject to change. Please book your hotel as early as possible to lock in room rates.   • Where should I park?
    Public transportation is encouraged. The Oakland Marriott City Center is located close to the 12th Street Oakland BART station, as well as several AC Transit bus stops. You can use BART to access downtown Oakland and the hotel directly from the airports in San Francisco and Oakland. If you choose to drive into Oakland, there are several parking lots in the area where you can park for the Symposium. Some lots in the area are small and will fill up quickly. All rates and parking availability are current as of November 2023 and are subject to change.   • Which public transportation stations are nearby?
    The nearest BART station to the Oakland Marriott City Center is the 12th Street Oakland Station. You can access downtown Oakland via BART directly from the airports in San Francisco and Oakland.
  • What if I need ADA accommodations or have a food allergy?
    If you require ADA accommodations or have a medical condition that requires a special diet, please get in touch with us at symposium@oaklandliteracycoalition.org no less than 3 weeks prior to the event date so that the requested arrangement can be made. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.
  • Will sessions be recorded?
    We will be recording plenary sessions but not breakout sessions.
  • Can I attend virtually?
    We are not offering any virtual programming this year. We hope you'll be able to join us in person for Literacy and Justice for All 2024.
  • Will COVID safety measures be in effect?
    We will be monitoring COVID surges and assess the needs of our community. We take our collective well-being serious and will be following our county COVID guidelines.
  • Will I receive a certificate of attendance?
    Participants will be able to download a certificate of attendance after the final event feedback survey has been completed.
