In this workshop, classroom educator and literacy advocate, Kim Lockhart will explain what a Structured Literacy approach is, why it is particularly essential for Second Language Learners, and demonstrate how specific tools, resources and strategies can be easily integrated into an inclusive Second Language classroom. Participants will leave this presentation with a greater understanding of how and why an evidence-based approach to reading instruction supports Second Language Learners, as well as a tool kit of practical classroom resources that will help every student learn to read and learn to love reading!

Registration will be capped to allow for deeper learning through this workshop.
